Controllers for Obstruction Lights

Controllers for Obstruction Lights - Electrical cabinets are intended for powering, protecting, and controlling the obstruction lights, low and medium intensity. An optional system able to indicate the occurrence of operating problems or designed for powering and monitoring obstruction lights, these power supplies for obstruction lighting are recommended.

Obstruction Lights (Aircraft Warning Lights)

Signalight manufactures complete LED Obstruction Lighting Systems low and medium intensity, powered from the mains or in low voltage, from solar power systems. We are suppliers for obstacle lighting systems for towers, obstacle lights, aviation warning lights, wind turbines obstacle marking, tall buildings red beacon marking. We can create different types of systems from basic ones, simple, or more complex with redundancy systems, alarming, synchronization, failure detection, etc.

What types of obstruction lights does Signalight design and manufacture?

What types of obstruction lighting products do we offer?

In this category, Signalight offers the following lighting products:

Low intensity obstruction lights

These lights are omnidirectional RED, steady, made with LEDs. Low intensity type A is used in locations where the surrounding lights are low, usually outside the cities. In the cities usually type B is used. The same type B can be used in more complex systems, together with medium intensity obstruction lights on taller structures.

Optionally, we can add IR, infrared LEDs for night vision goggles compatibility (NVG) – minimum: 4mW/sr

Medium intensity obstruction lights

During the day medium intensity obstruction lights type A must be used, flashing, 20000 cd white color omnidirectional beam. This light can be used also during the night but then must be dimmed to 10% so just 2000 cd. This is the type A medium intensity obstruction light. There are other obstruction lights for use just during the night time. These are types B or type C. The obstruction light type B is flashing RED, 2000 cd. Can be used alone or in combination with low-intensity type B. The obstruction light type C is steady RED, 2000 cd. These lights can have internal light sensors for day/night mode. If more flashing lights are used on a structure all of them must be synchronized. This is usually made using a controller.

Optionally, we can add IR, infrared LEDs for night vision goggles compatibility (NVG) – minimum: 246mW/sr

Solar obstruction lights

This system is an environmentally friendly solution but sometimes can be the only solution when it is difficult or even impossible to use obstruction lighting products with traditional power energy.

Optionally, we can add IR, infrared LEDs for night vision goggles compatibility (NVG).

Controllers for obstruction lights

The obstruction lighting products must be controlled using different types of devices. Can be a simple electrical cabinet or a more complex system. A simple obstruction light system can use just a simple twilight sensor to turn ON the lights during the night and turn the light OFF during the day. If the system is more complex, made from different types of lights, with day lights combined with night lights, synchronization, failure monitoring, redundancy, etc, the control must be more complex.

What do we use in our obstruction lighting products?

Signalight products are manufactured with OSRAM LEDs and premium quality materials and technologies to accomplish the best optical performance and to resist any environment from hot countries like Africa to cold ones in Russia, Canada, etc.

The body is metallic, made out of aluminum, powder coated (resistant to salt mist). Disperser made out of polycarbonate, resistant to UV.

Why choose our obstruction lights?

  • The robustness, performance and accessibility of these lighting systems, long operating life without maintenance, resistance to shocks and vibrations.
  • We deliver in a timely manner standard lighting systems or systems tailored to the client’s needs, anywhere in the world.
  • The products are durable, incorporating the latest technology and materials of the highest quality and according to international aviation regulations.
  • Our systems are easy to install and work regardless of the environment, offering safety and lighting at maximum power.
