Heliport on wood platform was a special project request. Traditional championships of the Republic of Karelia take place at Sortavala on Lake Ladoga, the largest lake in Europe, the second largest lake after Baikal in Russia, and the 14th largest freshwater lake by area in the world, situated near the Finnish border.
Traditionally, the best materials for constructing a heliport are steel, concrete and even aluminum. But, sometimes, there are specific locations with specific needs for building a heliport. The chosen material should be suitable for the type and size of aircraft using that heliport. At the end, it’s mandatory that the helicopter to be able to land and takeoff safely on a heliport.
Challenge
Signalight needed to provide the best suitable heliport lighting products: heliport inset lights, heliport floodlights, as following:
- Inset TLOF lights – with low power consumption
- Floodlight 20W – for a high luminous efficiency
- Heliport controller V3 – powering, controlling, monitoring the lighting circuits and guidance systems on the heliport
- Wind direction indicator – for a clear indication of the direction and the speed of the wind
- Heliport Beacon – to indicate the presence of the heliport
All the Signalight products and heliport lighting systems are certified/compliant according to international standards ICAO, FAA.
