The Emergency Hospital in Bacau is the biggest public hospital unit in Bacau County, providing preventive and curative medical care. It is one of the best hospitals in its region, its range of specialties and equipment allowing the medical staff to treat patients in need of immediate medical attention, but also patients that surpass the competency level of surrounding hospitals.
Signalight provided a lighting system for the hospital’s elevated heliport, offering top-quality products that comply with ICAO and FAA regulations, while also meeting the customer’s needs. This heliport allows the take-off and landing of helicopters and other vertical-lift aircraft, maximizing the safety and efficiency of the hospital’s air ambulance, thus providing better chances of survival for gravely injured patients in need of immediate medical attention.
For this project, we used the following products:
- INSET TLOF lights
- INSET Alignment lights
- Precision Approach Path Indicator APAPI – gives color cues to the pilots to maintain the correct approach slope to the FATO
- Floodlights 60W
- Type B Single – marks aerial obstacles, such as towers, buildings, antennas
- Heliport Controller V3 – has the purpose of powering, controlling, and monitoring the lighting circuits and guidance systems on the heliport
